I am currently researching all branches of my family tree as well as those of my husband's family. Connecting the GADDIS and SWINGLEY lines has become quite an undertaking! My family tree includes GADDIS, JACQUES, RUCKER, LaFOLLETTE, CORY, COATNEY, COURTNEY, ROARK, and BENNETT, as well as DEASON, COX, DRENNAN, ROBERTS, HANES, RENFRO, and OTWELL ... just to name a few. My husband's family tree consists of SWINGLEY, PAYNE, PYLE, CORLEY, BRUNSON, CUNNINGHAM, HILLS, HUNT, WILLIAMS, DAVEY, and HOAG.
I have a fair bit of information on our GADDIS, RUCKER, CORY, LaFOLLETTE, COX, RENFRO, DEASON and SWINGLEY lines and would be happy to share my research with anyone who is interested. As a part of this website, I've included a collection of photographs of different family groups. Some of the people in them I've been able to indentify...some I'm hoping others may recognize. Please take a minute to look through them, there could be someone there you know!
For reasons of privacy, I have not included a great deal of specific information about individuals in these families born after the late 1920's. However, if you find someone here who might belong to your line and need more specific information, please e-mail me and I'll see if I can help. Also, for reasons of space, I have not included all of the information that I have on each individual listed here. Again, if you have a question or would like more information, please ask.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank a special friend without whose help and encouragement much of this information might never have come together. Ed Bregenzer of Ft. Worth, Texas, answered a plea for help on a Compuserve genealogy forum back in the mid 90's and has been an invaluable research asset and sounding board ever since. Thank you, Ed!
Finally, if you find errors, whether they be simple typos or large inconsistancies .... please let me know! Geneaolgy is, in part, a quest of truth. We're all here to learn. Happy Hunting!
