The Pottery
The prehistoric inhabitants of the American southwest made and decorated clay pottery. Each culture used different techniques, styles, and colors on their clay wares and archaeologists use these distinct features to help determine where each culture lived and flourished. This roof tile is painted with a red, black, and white pitcher similar to the Kayenta Polychrome style.
