The Polychrome Pottery
The prehistoric inhabitants of the American southwest made and decorated clay pottery. Each culture used different techniques, styles, and colors on their clay wares and archaeologists use these distinct features to help determine where each culture lived and flourished. This paver is painted with a black, white, and red jar similar to Saladoan polychrome pottery.
